⚠️ Status: Field Testing
Development Complete — Currently in Field Testing Phase
QuakeRescue LifeLink AutomaticPulse is fully developed and is now undergoing device testing across multiple phone models to ensure maximum reliability. The app is not yet available for public download. Release will follow successful completion of field tests.
QuakeRescue LifeLink - Automatic earthquake rescue beacon app

QuakeRescue LifeLink

AutomaticPulse

An invisible lifeline under the rubble — a phone that keeps calling for help even when you cannot.

Activates Automatically — Nearby Phones Can Scan Bluetooth

After a major earthquake, your phone becomes a beacon. Motion sensor or official alerts trigger a 5-minute countdown. If you don’t cancel, siren + BLE beacon + GPS SMS activate automatically. Nearby phones can scan Bluetooth and see ”SOS QuakeRescue Signal” — no special equipment, no subscriptions needed.

96+ Hours survival window
All Countries No dedicated infrastructure
Zero Cost No equipment, no subscription

World’s First Independent Automatic App for Rescue After Earthquakes

  • Other apps warn BEFORE the shaking. QuakeRescue is your proactive preparation for AFTER – maximizing your chances of being found when you don’t have time to escape, are trapped, and networks are destroyed.
  • Works in all countries without requiring dedicated infrastructure: No internet, no cell towers needed after install. Functions completely offline.
  • Unique identity for rescue teams: Each beacon broadcasts ”SOS QuakeRescue Signal” with a unique beacon ID. Rescuers distinguish between multiple victims in the same area.
  • No expensive equipment required: Rescue teams use standard smartphones with nRF Connect, LightBlue, or built-in Bluetooth settings. No proprietary scanners, no satellite phones, no $10,000 equipment.
  • No subscriptions or fees: Free forever. Open source GPLv2. Works identically in every country regardless of GDP or infrastructure.
  • Automatic language support: Interface switches to phone’s language. Optimized for earthquake-prone regions: Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian, Filipino, and more. No manual setup.

How It Works: Dead-Man Switch Logic

1

Dual Detection

Phone’s motion sensor detects severe shaking OR receives WEA/ETWS/J-Alert cell broadcast. Works in all countries without requiring dedicated infrastructure. Functions completely offline.

2

5-Minute Safety Window

Countdown starts. Tap ”I’M SAFE” to cancel. Tap ”NOT SAFE – ACTIVATE NOW” to skip countdown. Do nothing? It activates automatically at zero.

3

Triple Signal Broadcast

Siren sounds for audio location. BLE beacon transmits ”SOS QuakeRescue Signal” + unique ID. SMS with GPS to contacts if enabled.

4

Adaptive Survival Mode

Monitors battery every cycle. Adjusts from 15-min cycles at >50% battery down to 60-min cycles below 5%. Bluetooth active only 13% → 2% of time.

Battery-Adaptive Schedule: Built for 96 Hours

Ultra-low power standby: The system only listens for major earthquake-level shaking. In normal daily use it consumes minimal power — like a resting sensor. It activates only when truly needed.
Battery Level Cycle Length BLE Active Siren Sounds
>50% 15 min 2 min (~13%) Every cycle (~15 min)
30-50% 20 min 2 min (~10%) Every cycle (~20 min)
15-30% 30 min 1 min (~3%) Every 2nd cycle (~60 min)
5-15% 45 min 1 min (~2%) Every 3rd cycle (~2 hours)
<5% 60 min 1 min (~2%) Every 4th cycle (~4 hours)

Principle: The more battery remains, the more frequent the signals to maximize early detection. As battery depletes, the system becomes increasingly sparse — but never silent — to stretch survival time toward the critical first 96 hours and preferably a full week.

Critical Design Principle: Deliberately Hard to Stop

The system assumes you might be unconscious. Starting the alarm is one easy tap. Stopping it requires holding STOP for 5 seconds + holding CONFIRM for 3 seconds. This two-step process prevents accidental shutdown during panic, shock, or confusion. An unintended activation is harmless. An unintended shutdown could be fatal. This imbalance is deliberate design, not a bug.

What Rescue Teams See

When the beacon is active, nearby phones can scan Bluetooth and see:

Device Name: SOS QuakeRescue Signal Signal Strength: -67 dBm (indicates proximity) Beacon ID: QR8F-2A9C (unique per device)

No special equipment required. Standard iPhone/Android Bluetooth settings, nRF Connect, or LightBlue app instantly reveal trapped victims. Civilians near the site can screenshot and share locations with rescue teams. The GPS SMS gives emergency contacts a Google Maps link to your last known position plus the unique beacon ID to report to authorities.

Built to Complement Existing Early Warning Systems

Google’s Earthquake Alert system is expanding globally and has proven life-saving value by providing advance warning before or during shaking. We support and recommend using it in all available countries.

QuakeRescue LifeLink addresses what happens after the shaking stops: when buildings have collapsed, power is out, and communication networks are destroyed. It activates when a user cannot respond, creating a rescue layer that functions even when early warning systems and infrastructure have failed.

Think of it as two phases of the same emergency: one warns you to escape. The other helps rescuers find you if you couldn’t.
